Rebecca is Government Relations and Policy Analyst at the Arab American Institute in Washington, DC. She is a graduate of Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, and has had significant experience working with Arab-American organizations in Washington, DC.
George is an Egyptian-American Diplomat serving at the US Embassy in Beirut, Lebanon and who was previously the Cultural and Press Attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Manama, Bahrain.
Yasmine is an Iraqi-American actress working in the entertainment industry in Southern California, and was recently featured in the FX drama about the war in Iraq, "Over There." She was also involved in the very well-regarded documentary "Voices of Iraq," and is working on another documentary at present.
Kristin is completing her Ph.D. in communications at the University of Oklahoma, Norman. She is specializing in international communication and development, and in the use of alternative and nontraditional media. She has studied at the University of Damascus in Syria and at Hebrew University in Jerusalem and has several interesting publications on global communications.
Samia is completing her Ph.D. at the University of San Francisco, writing her dissertation on "Towards a sovereign Palestinian state: a study of activism by Palestinian and Arab-American organizations." She is also a ninth-grade history teacher at Hillsdale High School in San Mateo, California.
Maysoon is a well-known comedian and actress, and host of the radio program Fen Majnoon with Dean and Maysoon on WBAI in New York City. Maysoon routinely performs around the country and around the world doing her hilarious standup comic routines, and used to appear regularly on the soap opera "as the world turns."
David is Professor of English at Casper College in Casper Wyoming. He is co-author of Fire on the Beach, along with David Wright, "recovering the lost story of Richard Etheridge and the Pea Island lifesavers," (Oxford University Press, 2000).
