Authors submitting manuscripts to Cancer Evolution, Resistance & Prevention (CERP) are expected to adhere to the following writing requirements to ensure clarity, scientific rigor, and consistency throughout the publication process.
Language
- Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise, and grammatically correct scientific English.
- Authors whose first language is not English are encouraged to obtain professional language editing prior to submission.
- Scientific terminology should be used consistently throughout the manuscript.
Originality
- Submitted manuscripts must present original work that has not been published previously.
- Manuscripts must not be under consideration by another journal at the time of submission.
- Appropriate citation of previously published work is required.
Manuscript Organization
Where appropriate, manuscripts should be organized in the following order:
- Title
- Running Title
- Author Names and Affiliations

- Keywords (4–8)

Abstract
Original Research Articles should include a structured abstract of approximately 250–300 words containing:
- Background
- Methods
- Results
- Conclusions
Review Articles may include an unstructured abstract.
Keywords
Provide 4–8 keywords that accurately describe the manuscript. Whenever possible, keywords should not duplicate words already included in the title.
Ethical Standards
Research involving human participants or animals must comply with internationally accepted ethical standards.
Where applicable, authors must provide:
- Institutional Ethics Committee approval
- Animal Ethics Committee approval
- Informed consent for human participants
Research Integrity
Authors are responsible for ensuring:
- Accuracy of reported data
- Originality of submitted work
- Appropriate citation of previous publications
- Responsible image processing
- Transparency regarding funding sources and conflicts of interest
The journal does not tolerate plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate image manipulation.
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Artificial intelligence tools may be used to assist with language editing or manuscript preparation; however:
- Authors remain fully responsible for all scientific content.
- AI systems must not be listed as authors.
- Any substantial use of AI should be disclosed within the manuscript where appropriate.
Conflict of Interest
All authors must disclose any financial, professional, institutional, or personal relationships that could influence the reported work.
If no conflicts exist, authors should state:
"The authors declare no conflicts of interest."
Funding
All sources of financial support should be disclosed.
If no funding was received, authors should state:
"This research received no specific grant from any funding agency."
Data Availability
Authors are encouraged to make supporting research data available whenever possible.
A Data Availability Statement must be included in every manuscript.
