Archiving Policy

The Journal of Advanced Materials in Health and Engineering (JAMHE) is a fully digital, open-access journal committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, discoverability, and continuous availability of all published scholarly content. The journal does not produce print editions as part of its standard publishing model, and all published material is maintained through secure digital infrastructure and preservation-oriented publishing systems designed to protect the permanence and integrity of the scholarly record.

Digital Archiving

JAMHE ensures that all published content is securely preserved through structured digital archiving practices designed to guarantee:

  • long-term accessibility;
  • content integrity;
  • metadata stability;
  • permanent scholarly availability.

The journal is committed to supporting internationally recognized principles of digital preservation and sustainable scholarly communication.

Publisher Platform Preservation

All published articles are hosted on secure publishing infrastructure operated under Hala Publishing Group. Publishing systems are routinely maintained and protected through structured backup and preservation procedures to support:

  • long-term digital preservation;
  • content integrity and file stability;
  • secure metadata retention;
  • reliable uninterrupted access to published articles;
  • continuity of the scholarly record.

DOI Registration Implementation

Digital Object Identifier (DOI) registration through Crossref will be formally implemented immediately following publication and approval of Volume 1, Issue 1.

Upon implementation:

  • each published article will receive a permanent DOI;
  • DOI registration will support persistent citation linking;
  • published content will gain enhanced discoverability through global scholarly indexing systems;
  • metadata interoperability and citation tracking will be strengthened.

Future Preservation Network Integration

As part of its long-term preservation strategy, JAMHE intends to progressively integrate with internationally recognized digital preservation and archiving systems, including:

  • PKP Preservation Network
  • LOCKSS
  • CLOCKSS
  • additional equivalent preservation infrastructures as the journal’s publishing ecosystem expands.

The journal remains committed to strengthening long-term digital sustainability and preservation infrastructure in accordance with international best practices in scholarly publishing.

Repository Policy (Self-Archiving)

JAMHE fully supports author rights, responsible open science practices, and the unrestricted non-commercial dissemination of scientific research.

Authors are permitted and encouraged to deposit all versions of their manuscripts, including:

  • Preprint (submitted manuscript);
  • Author Accepted Manuscript (AAM/Postprint);
  • Version of Record (final published article).

Deposits may be made in:

  • institutional repositories;
  • subject-specific repositories;
  • national libraries;
  • academic networking platforms;
  • personal academic webpages;
  • professional research profiles.

Embargo Policy

JAMHE does not impose an embargo period on published content.

Authors may archive and disseminate all manuscript versions immediately upon publication without restriction, provided appropriate citation and attribution requirements are fulfilled.

Conditions for Repository Deposit

Archived or deposited versions of manuscripts should include:

  • full citation of the original publication in JAMHE;
  • link to the official published version on the journal website;
  • DOI link once DOI registration becomes active following implementation after Volume 1, Issue 1.

These requirements support citation consistency, scholarly transparency, and preservation of the official scientific record.

Long-Term Access Commitment

In the event that JAMHE ceases publication in the future, all published content will remain permanently accessible through:

  • Hala Publishing Group archival infrastructure;
  • DOI resolution systems once active;
  • institutional and third-party repositories where content has been deposited;
  • preservation network partnerships active at that time.

The journal is committed to maintaining uninterrupted scholarly access to its complete published archive regardless of future publication status.

Commitment to Preservation and Scholarly Continuity

JAMHE recognizes that long-term digital preservation is essential to maintaining the integrity, reliability, and permanence of scientific communication. The journal therefore remains committed to continuously strengthening its preservation infrastructure, metadata standards, archiving systems, and accessibility frameworks in alignment with internationally recognized best practices in digital scholarly publishing.

Policy Review and Updates

This Archiving and Repository Policy is subject to periodic review to ensure continued alignment with internationally recognized standards in:

  • digital preservation;
  • open-access publishing;
  • metadata management;
  • scholarly archiving;
  • research accessibility.

Any future revisions or policy updates will be implemented transparently and published promptly through the journal’s official website and publication policies.
