All submissions are evaluated on the basis of scientific quality, originality, methodological robustness, reproducibility, translational significance, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
The journal operates a fully double-anonymous peer-review system and adheres to internationally recognized publishing and ethical standards, including the recommendations and principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics, International Committee of Medical Journal Editors, Directory of Open Access Journals, and Open Access Scholarly Publishing Association.

Manuscript Preparation
Language
Manuscripts must be submitted in clear, professional academic English. Authors whose first language is not English are strongly encouraged to obtain professional language editing prior to submission.
File Format
Submissions should be prepared in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).
The journal requires submission of:
- A blinded manuscript suitable for peer review
- A separate title page containing author information
Title Page Requirements
The title page should include:
- Full manuscript title
- Short running title
- Full author names
- Institutional affiliations
- ORCID identifiers (recommended)
- Corresponding author details
- Funding information
- Conflict of interest declarations
Blinded Manuscript Requirements
To preserve the integrity of the journal’s fully double-anonymous peer-review process, the main manuscript file must not contain:

Abstracts and Keywords
Abstract
Abstracts should concisely summarize the scientific rationale, objectives, methodology, principal findings, and conclusions of the study.
- Recommended length: 200–300 words
- Citations and undefined abbreviations should be avoided.
Keywords
Authors should provide 4–8 keywords reflecting the principal scientific concepts of the manuscript.
Formatting Requirements
- Font: Times New Roman
- Font size: 12 pt
- Line spacing: Double-spaced
- Margins: 2.5 cm (1 inch) on all sides
- Text alignment: Justified
- Pages should be numbered consecutively.
A clear and consistent heading hierarchy should be maintained throughout the manuscript.
References
JAMHE follows the Vancouver referencing style.
References should:
- Be numbered consecutively according to citation order
- Include DOI numbers where available
- Be formatted consistently and accurately
Authors are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all references.
Figures and Tables
Figures
Figures should be submitted as high-resolution files in one of the following formats:
- TIFF
- PNG
- JPEG
Minimum resolution requirements:
- 300 DPI for photographs
- 600 DPI for line art and schematics
Tables
Tables must be editable and should not be embedded as images.
All tables and figures must:
- be cited within the manuscript
- contain descriptive titles and legends
- be scientifically clear and publication-ready
Engineering schematics, computational workflows, materials characterization images, and process diagrams are strongly encouraged where relevant.
Statistical and Computational Reporting
Authors must provide sufficient methodological detail to ensure reproducibility and scientific transparency.
Statistical analyses should include:
- measures of variability
- significance values
- confidence intervals where applicable
- identification of statistical software used
Studies involving:
- artificial intelligence
- machine learning
- predictive modeling
- computational simulation
- engineering optimization
should include detailed methodological disclosure, including datasets, validation approaches, algorithms, and software platforms where applicable.
Research Ethics
Human and Animal Studies
Research involving human participants or animal subjects must comply with internationally recognized ethical standards and include appropriate institutional ethical approval information.
Where applicable, manuscripts should include:
- ethics committee approval details
- approval reference numbers
- informed consent statements
The journal follows the ethical principles outlined in the Declaration of Helsinki and international research ethics frameworks.
Clinical Trial Registration
Clinical trials must be registered in a publicly accessible registry prior to participant enrollment.

Registration numbers must be included within the manuscript.
Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses

Publication Ethics and Originality
