The Journal of Global Epidemiology and Health Equity (JGEHE) is a fully digital, open-access journal committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and continuous availability of all published scholarly content. The journal does not produce print editions as part of its standard publishing model, and all content is maintained through secure digital infrastructure and recognized preservation mechanisms designed to protect the permanence of the scholarly record.
Digital Archiving
JGEHE ensures that all published content is securely preserved through structured digital archiving systems designed to guarantee long-term accessibility and content integrity.
Publisher's Platform Preservation
All published articles are hosted on secure publishing servers operated under Hala Publishing Group. These servers are continuously maintained and protected through routine system backups to ensure:
- Long-term data preservation;
- Content integrity and file stability;
- Reliable uninterrupted access to published articles.
DOI Registration Implementation
Crossref DOI registration will be formally implemented following publication and approval of the journal's inaugural issue.
Upon activation:
- Each published article will be assigned a permanent Digital Object Identifier (DOI);
- DOI records will ensure persistent citation linking;
- Published content will gain enhanced discoverability through global scholarly indexing systems.
Future Preservation Network Integration
As part of its long-term preservation strategy, JGEHE intends to progressively integrate with internationally recognized archival preservation systems, including:
- PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN);
- LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe);
- CLOCKSS;
- Other equivalent preservation networks as publishing infrastructure expands.
Repository Policy (Self-Archiving)
JGEHE supports the broad dissemination of scientific knowledge and permits authors to deposit and archive their scholarly work in appropriate repositories.
Authors may deposit:
- Preprint (submitted version);
- Author Accepted Manuscript (postprint);
- Version of Record (final published article).
Deposits may be made in:
- Institutional repositories;
- Subject-specific repositories;
- National repositories and libraries;
- Personal academic webpages;
- Professional research and scholarly networking platforms.
Embargo Policy
No embargo period is applied.
Authors may archive and disseminate all manuscript versions immediately upon publication, provided appropriate citation of the published work is included.
Conditions for Deposit
All archived or deposited versions should include:
- Full citation of the original publication in JGEHE;
- Link to the official published version on the journal website;
- DOI link, where applicable, following DOI assignment.
Long-Term Access Commitment
In the event that JGEHE ceases publication in the future, every reasonable effort will be made to ensure continued accessibility of previously published content through:
- Hala Publishing Group archival servers;
- DOI resolution services, where applicable;
- Institutional and third-party repositories where content has been deposited;
- Any preservation network partnerships active at the time.
