Editorial Independence
Editorial decisions are made independently and solely on the basis of scientific merit, methodological rigor, originality, ethical compliance, clarity of reporting, and relevance to the journal's aims and scope. Commercial interests, sponsorship arrangements, institutional affiliations, or personal considerations shall not influence editorial decision-making.
Authorship and Contributorship
Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made substantial contributions to:
- The conception or design of the study;
- Data acquisition, analysis, or interpretation;
- Drafting or critically revising the manuscript;
- Final approval of the submitted version; and
- Accountability for the accuracy and integrity of the work.
Individuals who contribute to a manuscript but do not meet authorship criteria should be appropriately acknowledged.
Research Ethics
Research involving human participants, identifiable human data, biological materials, or sensitive information must have received approval from an appropriate ethics committee or institutional review board where required.
Authors must clearly report:
- Ethical approval information;
- Informed consent procedures;
- Participant confidentiality safeguards;
- Compliance with applicable national and international ethical standards.
Clinical trials must be registered in a recognized public trial registry before participant enrollment whenever applicable.
Conflict of Interest Disclosure
Authors, reviewers, editors, and editorial board members must disclose any financial, professional, institutional, personal, or other relationships that could influence, or be perceived to influence, the conduct, interpretation, review, or publication of research.
All relevant disclosures will be published alongside accepted articles where appropriate.
Peer Review Integrity
JGEHE operates a rigorous double-anonymous peer-review process whenever feasible. Reviewers are expected to:
- Provide objective, constructive, and evidence-based evaluations;
- Maintain confidentiality of submitted materials;
- Declare conflicts of interest;
- Refrain from using unpublished information for personal advantage.
Editors are responsible for ensuring fair, unbiased, and timely review of all submissions.
Plagiarism and Research Misconduct
The journal has a zero-tolerance policy toward:
- Plagiarism;
- Self-plagiarism and redundant publication;
- Data fabrication or falsification;
- Image manipulation;
- Citation manipulation;
- Undisclosed conflicts of interest;
- Peer-review manipulation; and
- Any other form of scientific misconduct.
Submitted manuscripts may be screened using plagiarism-detection software and investigated when concerns arise. Proven misconduct may result in rejection, correction, retraction, notification of institutions, or other appropriate actions.
Data Transparency and Reproducibility
Authors are encouraged to make underlying data, analytical code, protocols, and supplementary materials available whenever ethically, legally, and practically feasible.
Where restrictions apply due to privacy, confidentiality, legal obligations, or data-use agreements, authors must clearly explain these limitations within the manuscript.

Corrections, Retractions, and Expressions of Concern
The journal is committed to maintaining the accuracy of the scholarly record. When significant errors, ethical concerns, or reliability issues are identified, JGEHE may publish:
- Corrections (Errata or Corrigenda);
- Expressions of Concern; or
- Retractions,
in accordance with COPE recommendations and accepted publishing standards.

JGEHE operates as a fully open-access journal. Published articles are freely and immediately available online to readers worldwide without subscription barriers, ensuring the broad dissemination of scientific knowledge and supporting equitable access to research.
