Indexing and Abstracting

The Journal of Global Epidemiology and Health Equity (JGEHE) is being developed with a structured pathway toward discoverability, transparency, and international indexing. The journal seeks to meet recognized standards relating to publication quality, editorial governance, peer review, publication ethics, transparency, and technical publishing requirements.

JGEHE will pursue inclusion in appropriate indexing and abstracting services only after meeting the eligibility criteria established by each database or indexing organization.

The journal does not claim indexing in any database until formal acceptance has been confirmed by the respective service.

Current and Planned Indexing Targets

Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ)

JGEHE intends to apply for inclusion in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) once eligibility requirements have been satisfied.

Crossref

The journal plans to assign Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) to published articles through Crossref or an equivalent DOI registration service, subject to publisher arrangements.

Google Scholar

Published articles are intended to be discoverable through standard scholarly web indexing practices. The journal does not claim formal indexing by Google Scholar unless such discoverability has been verified.

ROAD and BASE

JGEHE may pursue inclusion in ROAD, BASE, and other recognized open scholarly directories as appropriate.

Scopus

The journal intends to pursue indexing in Scopus after establishing a sufficient publication record, editorial history, and demonstrated publishing quality.

Web of Science

Inclusion in Web of Science is a long-term objective following the development of a sustained record of high-quality publication and scholarly impact.

PubMed Central and MEDLINE

For biomedical and public health content, JGEHE may pursue future applications to PubMed Central and MEDLINE upon meeting the respective eligibility requirements.

Transparency

The journal is committed to transparency regarding its indexing status. Any indexing applications, approvals, or database inclusions will be communicated accurately on the journal website.

JGEHE will not claim inclusion in any indexing or abstracting service until official confirmation has been received from the relevant organization.
