The Journal of Intelligent Analog & Mixed-Signal Systems for Emerging Applications (JIAMSA) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics, editorial integrity, and scholarly excellence. The journal's editorial policies are aligned with the principles and recommendations established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), and the Open Access Scholarly Publishing Association (OASPA).
The following principles govern all aspects of editorial conduct and scholarly publication in the journal.
Authorship and Contributorship
Authorship must be based on substantial contributions to the conception or design of the work; acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data; drafting or critically revising the manuscript; final approval of the submitted version; and accountability for all aspects of the work.
Individuals who contributed to the work but do not meet authorship criteria should be appropriately acknowledged.
Ghost authorship, guest authorship, honorary authorship, and undisclosed authorship contributions are considered unethical publication practices and are strictly prohibited.
Conflict of Interest Disclosure
All authors must declare any financial, professional, or personal relationships that could potentially influence the interpretation or reporting of submitted research.
Funding sources must be disclosed in full, including the role of the funding body in study design, data collection, analysis, interpretation, or manuscript preparation.
Plagiarism and Data Integrity
All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using validated detection software prior to peer review.
Plagiarism in any form—including self-plagiarism, text recycling, duplicate submission, and redundant publication—constitutes a serious breach of publication ethics and may result in immediate rejection or retraction, as appropriate.
Authors are expected to accurately represent primary data and research findings. Fabrication or falsification of research data constitutes scientific misconduct and may result in manuscript rejection, article retraction, and notification of the authors' affiliated institutions.
Corrections, Retractions, and Expressions of Concern
The journal is committed to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the published record. Where errors are identified post-publication, corrections or errata will be issued promptly.
Where research misconduct is confirmed or strongly suspected, the journal will issue a formal retraction in accordance with COPE Retraction Guidelines, ensuring that the scholarly record remains transparent and trustworthy. Retracted articles shall remain clearly identified and linked to the original publication.
Editorial Integrity
Editorial decisions are based exclusively on scientific merit, methodological rigor, originality, ethical compliance, and relevance to the journal's scope. Editors and reviewers are expected to maintain confidentiality throughout the peer-review process and to declare any conflicts of interest that may compromise objectivity.
