Journal of AI in Clinical Innovation (JAICI)

The Journal of AI in Clinical Innovation (JAICI) is committed to the highest standards of research integrity, transparency, and ethical conduct. Our policies follow the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), and IEEE Standards for AI and Data Ethics, ensuring scientific excellence and responsible innovation.

Peer Review Policy

  • JAICI employs a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to guarantee fairness and objectivity.

  • All submissions undergo initial editorial screening for originality, scope, and ethical compliance.

  • Manuscripts passing this stage are reviewed by at least two independent experts.

  • Editorial decisions are based on novelty, methodological rigor, ethical standards, clarity, and clinical relevance.

Plagiarism & AI-Generated Content

  • All submissions are screened using advanced plagiarism detection software.

  • Manuscripts with significant plagiarism, self-plagiarism, or data fabrication will be rejected.

  • Use of generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini) must be disclosed in the Methods section.

  • AI tools cannot be listed as authors.

Conflict of Interest

  • Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal relationships that may influence interpretation or presentation of research.

  • If no conflicts exist, authors must state: “Conflicts of Interest: None declared.”

Data Sharing & Transparency

  • Authors are required to include a Data Availability Statement specifying where datasets, models, and code can be accessed (e.g., GitHub, Zenodo).

  • Sensitive or proprietary data must be justified if not shared.

  • All clinical data must comply with HIPAA, GDPR, and local data protection regulations.

Ethical Approval & Patient Consent

  • Studies involving human participants must include:

  • Retractions are issued if published findings are unreliable due to misconduct or major error.

  • Corrections are published for minor errors that do not affect conclusions.

  • Allegations of plagiarism, falsification, or image manipulation will trigger a formal investigation.

Copyright, Licensing & Open Access
