The Journal of AI in Clinical Innovation (JAICI) publishes high-quality, peer-reviewed research at the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI)clinical scienceshealthcare innovation, and digital transformation. These guidelines are designed to assist authors in preparing manuscripts that meet international publishing standards and JAICI’s editorial policies.

  1. General Formatting

Manuscript Format

  • File Format: Submit manuscripts in Microsoft Word (.docx) only.
  • Page Size & Margins: A4 size with 1-inch (2.54 cm) margins on all sides.
  • Font & Spacing:
    • Font: Times New Roman, 12-point
    • Line spacing: Double-spaced
    • Text alignment: Justified
  • Page Numbering: Number all pages consecutively, starting from the title page.
  1. Manuscript Structure

Organize the manuscript into the following sections (unless otherwise specified for article type):

  1. Title Page

Include:

  • Manuscript Title – Concise, informative, and specific. Avoid abbreviations and formulas.
  • Author Names & Affiliations – Include full names, institutional affiliations, and country names.
  • Corresponding Author – Provide full contact details, including email and ORCID (if available).
  • Running Title – A short version of the title (max. 50 characters).
  1. Abstract
  • Word Limit: Up to 250 words (150 words for short communications).
  • Content: Summarize the objectivemethodskey findings, and conclusions.
  • Avoid: References, uncommon abbreviations, and citations.
  1. Keywords
  • Provide 3–6 keywords immediately after the abstract.
  • Use British English spelling and avoid plural terms or overly general concepts.
  1. Main Text

Organize into the following sections:

  • Introduction – Provide background, rationale, and study objectives.
  • Methods – Clearly describe study design, AI models, datasets, evaluation metrics, and statistical analyses.
  • Results – Present findings clearly, with supporting tables, figures, and performance metrics.
  • Discussion – Interpret results, compare findings with existing literature, and discuss limitations.
  • Conclusion – Summarize major findings and highlight clinical or technological implications.
  1. Acknowledgments

List individuals, institutions, or organizations that contributed to the work but do not qualify for authorship.

  1. Funding Sources

Provide funding details in a standardized format, including grant numbers where applicable.

  1. References
  • Follow APA 7th Edition style.
  • Include DOI links where available for permanent accessibility.
  • Ensure consistency between in-text citations and reference lists.
  1. Tables and Figures
  • Place tables and figures at the end of the manuscript on separate pages.
  • Each must have a descriptive caption and be cited in the text.
  • Figures should be high-resolution (minimum 300 dpi).
  • Submit figures in JPEG, PNG, or TIFF formats.
