Archiving Policy

The Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine & Dentistry Journal (PAMD-J)

The Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine & Dentistry Journal (PAMD-J) is committed to the long-term preservation, discoverability, and accessibility of all published content. We recognize the importance of maintaining a permanent scholarly record in pediatric and dental sciences that remains available to researchers, clinicians, and educators worldwide.

1. Digital Archiving

  • All published articles are stored securely on Hala Publishing Group servers with multiple, redundant backups.

  • Content integrity is ensured through checksum validation and version-controlled storage.

  • Regular automated backups are maintained across geographically distributed locations.

2. Institutional Repositories

  • Authors are encouraged to self-archive the final published version (PDF) in institutional or subject-based repositories.

  • This is fully compliant with the journal’s open access policy and helps expand visibility.

3. Third-Party Preservation Services

To ensure perpetual availability, PAMD-J partners with recognized international archiving systems, including:

  • LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe)

  • CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS)

  • Portico and other equivalent preservation networks

4. Open Access Preservation

  • As a fully open-access journal, all content is freely available online upon publication.

  • Each article is assigned a Crossref DOI, ensuring permanent access and global discoverability.

  • Articles are licensed under Creative Commons, supporting broad use and long-term sharing.

5. Print Archiving

  • Although primarily digital-first, limited print copies of each issue are archived by the publisher to maintain a physical record.

6. Continuity & Long-Term Access

  • If PAMD-J ceases publication, all published articles will remain permanently available through:

    • Hala Publishing Group’s servers

    • Third-party archiving partners

    • Institutional repositories

7. Policy Review

  • The archiving policy is reviewed regularly to remain aligned with global best practices in digital preservation.

  • Any updates are communicated transparently via the journal’s website.
