The International Journal of Comprehensive Health, Medicine & Dentistry (IJCHMD) is a fully digital, peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal dedicated to publishing high-quality interdisciplinary research across the fields of health sciences, clinical medicine, dentistry, and healthcare innovation. Published by Hala Publishing Group and founded in Doha, Qatar, with its headquarters located in Tornado Tower, West Bay, IJCHMD was established with the vision of bridging the traditional divide between medicine, dentistry, and broader healthcare sciences through integrated, evidence-based, and translational research.
The journal serves as a global academic platform for clinicians, researchers, educators, healthcare professionals, and policy contributors seeking to advance scientific knowledge and interdisciplinary collaboration in healthcare. With a strong emphasis on innovation, translational medicine, public health integration, and clinical impact, IJCHMD aims to support research that contributes meaningfully to both academic advancement and real-world healthcare practice.
IJCHMD publishes original research articles, clinical investigations, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, narrative reviews, case reports, short communications, editorials, and expert commentary spanning a broad range of healthcare and biomedical disciplines. The journal particularly encourages interdisciplinary submissions that explore the intersection of oral and systemic health, emerging healthcare technologies, artificial intelligence in healthcare, clinical sciences, preventive medicine, and translational therapeutic approaches.
The journal operates under a rigorous double-anonymous peer-review process designed to uphold scientific integrity, editorial independence, and academic excellence. Its editorial leadership comprises an internationally diverse board of researchers, clinicians, and academic experts representing multiple healthcare specialties and institutions worldwide.
IJCHMD operates in full alignment with internationally recognized publishing and ethical standards, adhering to the principles and recommendations established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), and the Open Access Scholarly Publishing Association (OASPA). Through these standards, the journal ensures transparency, accountability, ethical publishing conduct, and integrity throughout all stages of the editorial and publication process.
As part of its ongoing commitment to strengthening editorial quality, publication consistency, manuscript selectivity, and long-term academic development, IJCHMD is currently transitioning from a triannual publication structure to a refined biannual publication model. Volume 2 serves as the journal’s transitional publication year, with Volume 2, Issue 1 published in January 2026 and Volume 2, Issue 2 scheduled for publication in December 2026. Beginning from Volume 3 onward, the journal will officially publish two issues annually in June and December.
IJCHMD additionally follows an online-first publication model, whereby accepted manuscripts may be published online ahead of the official issue release date following successful completion of peer review, editorial processing, proofreading, and production workflows. Articles subsequently remain formally assigned to their respective scheduled issue and volume upon final issue compilation.
Each issue is expected to include a minimum of five peer-reviewed scholarly articles, subject to editorial quality standards and successful completion of the peer-review process.
As a fully open-access journal, all published content is permanently and freely accessible without subscription barriers, supporting equitable global dissemination of scientific knowledge and maximizing research visibility and accessibility. The journal remains committed to maintaining a balance between timely scientific dissemination and rigorous editorial standards to ensure the publication of impactful and clinically meaningful research.
The inaugural volume of IJCHMD received more than 40 submissions originating from five continents, with 15 articles accepted following comprehensive peer review, reflecting the journal’s emerging international reputation for selectivity, academic rigor, and multidisciplinary relevance.
The journal is strategically advancing toward inclusion in leading international indexing and abstracting databases, including Scopus, Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), PubMed Central, and Web of Science. As IJCHMD continues to expand its global academic footprint, its mission remains centered on scholarly excellence, editorial transparency, interdisciplinary collaboration, and meaningful scientific contribution to the future of global healthcare.
