Hashim Al-Hashimi is a distinguished leader in healthcare and research, currently serving as the Chief Editor of The International Journal of Comprehensive Health, Medicine, & Dentistry. His extensive career reflects a deep commitment to advancing the fields of healthcare, dentistry, and research, with a focus on innovation and excellence.

In his current role as Director of Research Services at DHC, Hashim plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of healthcare research in Bahrain. His leadership and expertise are also recognized in his role as a Research Fellow, where he continues to contribute to groundbreaking research initiatives. His work has resulted in significant publications, including a book chapter titled "Gap Analysis of Employability Attributes Among Job Seekers in Bahrain: Employee Perspective," and a comparative study presented at the Saudi International Dental Conference titled "A Comparative Analysis of Traditional Impression Methods and Intraoral Scanners in Modern Dentistry: Advantages, Limitations, Variables, and Ethical Considerations."

In addition to his research contributions, Hashim holds multiple board seats within HMH Holdings W.L.L. and Dr. Hala Medical Group, where he has been instrumental in driving strategic initiatives that have transformed these organizations. His expertise in mergers and acquisitions, process improvement, and healthcare strategy has been crucial in the expansion and development of the group's medical and dental divisions.

Currently, Hashim is a 4th-year dental student at Riyadh Elm University, where his academic achievements continue to set him apart. He graduated from the International School of Choueifat (SABIS) at the age of 16, having excelled in a rigorous scientific curriculum. His academic excellence at Riyadh Elm University earned him the highest cumulative GPA among his peers and a partial scholarship in recognition of his outstanding performance.

Hashim's research contributions have been recognized by the International Association of Dental Research (IADR), where he achieved 4th place in the Junior Dental Research Competition, Saudi Division, in January 2024. Additionally, his entrepreneurial spirit is evident in his successful ventures and the strategic restructuring of his family’s medical, and training divisions.

Prof. Mukhtar AL-Hashimi, Associate Editor-in-Chief

Prof. Mukhtar AL-Hashimi, currently the Vice President for Academic Affairs at Ahlia University, Bahrain, has established himself as a leading figure in academia and healthcare management. With four degrees from prestigious U.S. institutions, including a Ph.D. from the University of Utah, Prof. Mukhtar’s career spans over 25 years, blending academic rigor with practical expertise in various fields.

His academic contributions are widely recognized, as evidenced by his substantial research output. On Scopus, he has published 36 documents, garnering 143 citations, with an h-index of 6, reflecting his significant influence in his areas of study. On ResearchGate, Prof. Mukhtar has 44 publications with 23,311 reads and 228 citations, alongside an h-index and i10-index of 7. His Google Scholar profile further attests to his impact, with 272 citations since 2019, solidifying his reputation as a respected researcher.

Prof. Mukhtar is also a prolific author, with notable works including “Research Methods: The Framework for Conducting Research,” “Let’s Dream,” and “Let’s Talk Business.” His research spans a wide range of disciplines, from Information Technology and Computer Science to Business Management, Healthcare Management, and Medical Informatics. He has supervised numerous Ph.D. and MSc students, many of whom have received awards for their research, further testament to his role as a mentor and educator.

In addition to his academic pursuits, Prof. Mukhtar has made significant contributions to the healthcare sector. His work as a Medical Informatics Adviser to the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Hospital led to the development of the AL-Care System, a computerized hospital management system that gained both local and international recognition. This system, initially implemented in Bahrain, was later sold to an international company in the United States, underscoring its global impact.

His expertise extends to strategic roles in healthcare management, notably his involvement in the ICT strategy and project management for King Hamad University Hospital, for which he received a certificate of excellence.

Dr. Afrose Liaquat, Editorial Board Member

Dr. Afrose Liaquat is a distinguished healthcare professional with a robust background in clinical and molecular research, and academia. Dr. Liaquat's academic journey is marked by her dedication to advancing medical knowledge. She earned her medical degree (MBBS) from Army Medical College, under National University of Science and technology, Pakistan. She did her M.Phil Reproductive Physiology followed by a PhD in Molecular Biology/Biochemistry form Quaid-e-Azam University. Her commitment to professional growth led her to complete her Masters in health professional education from Shifa tamer-e-Millat University, Pakistan.

Throughout her career, Dr. Liaquat has been actively involved in a variety of research projects, contributing significantly to the deeper understanding of the disease process. Her research interests mainly include molecular genetics of Non-communicable diseases. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles that have been published in leading medical journals, reflecting her commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous learning.

In addition to her research, Dr. Liaquat is an esteemed educator, known for her ability to mentor and guide the next generation of healthcare professionals. Her roles have included senior faculty positions at Shifa College of Medicine and Shifa college of Dentistry, where she has mentored countless students and young professionals. She has a teaching experience of more than 8 years, where she has been part of a very dynamic team who developed and delivered curriculum that bridges the gap between theory and practice. Her passion for teaching is matched by her enthusiasm, that’s why she was nominated for the Best University teacher in 2022 by her University.  

She has been working as Associate Editor for Journal of Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University (JSTMU), Pakistan since its inception 4 years ago. Dr. Alaa Zidan, Editorial Board Member

Dr. Alaa Zidan is a highly experienced healthcare professional with a remarkable 31-year career spanning emergency care, trauma care, and orthopedics. He holds a wealth of experience in both clinical practice and academia, having worked in various prestigious hospitals and universities across Egypt, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and beyond.

Dr. Zidan began his medical career after graduating from Alexandria University and earning a master’s degree in Orthopedics and Trauma from Cairo University. He further enhanced his expertise through a fellowship in trauma and fracture treatment at the University Hospital Freiburg and the University Hospital of Bochum in Germany. Additionally, he was awarded the SICOT scholarship at the Ricardo Galeazzi Institute in Milan, Italy, further solidifying his expertise in orthopedics and trauma care.

Throughout his career, Dr. Zidan has held several key positions, including Deputy Chief of the Emergency Department at As Salam International Hospital in Cairo and Senior Registrar of Orthopedics at Dr. Fakhry Hospital in Saudi Arabia and Salmanyia Medical Center in Bahrain. His leadership extended to his role as a Team Leader at Sitra Health Center, Ministry of Health, Bahrain, from 2007 to 2011.

In academia, Dr. Zidan has over 14 years of teaching experience as a Senior Lecturer at the Medical College of the Arab Gulf University in Bahrain. His dedication to education and training is further exemplified by his role as a full-time Senior Consultant and Trainer in Health and Safety at ALMashreq Training Centre in Bahrain, where he has been involved since 2011. He has developed and delivered numerous courses on leadership, emotional intelligence, and various health and safety topics.

Dr. Zidan’s contributions to healthcare are not limited to clinical practice and teaching. He is also an accomplished author, having written two books: “My Own Reflections” (2013) and “Into My Life” (2016). His expertise in emergency care and trauma has been widely recognized, leading to his appointment as the Course Director of the American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) course in Bahrain. He is a certified ACLS and Basic Life Support (BLS) instructor and a regional faculty member of the American Heart Association.

In addition to his clinical and teaching roles, Dr. Zidan has made significant contributions to the field of health and safety. He has been actively involved with the National Safety Council (NSC), where he served on the editorial advisory board and contributed to the review of chapters for the NSC reference book, “Fundamentals of Industrial Hygiene.” His presentations on emotional intelligence, leadership, and safety culture at international conferences have been highly praised and well-received.

Dr. Madonna A. Fekry, Editorial Board Member

Dr. Madonna A. Fekry is an accomplished public health professional with a Master’s degree in Global Public Health from Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) and a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) University. With over seven years of experience in epidemiology and public health, Dr. Fekry has developed deep expertise in conducting epidemiological research, developing country-specific disease registries and guidelines, and performing advanced statistical analyses to interpret epidemiological and clinical data.

Currently, Dr. Fekry serves as an Epidemiology Consultant and the Vice Director of the Clinical Research Department at Cairo Cure Oncology Center. In this role, she oversees clinical data management, data analysis, and medical writing, playing a crucial role in advancing oncology research and patient care.

Dr. Fekry’s career is marked by her proficiency in advanced data analysis and interpretation, statistical software, clinical data management and visualization, research and critical appraisal, medical writing, and manuscript preparation. Her leadership and team training skills have further solidified her reputation as a key contributor to the field of public health and clinical research.

Dr. Jaskirat Arora, M.B.B.S., Ph.D. is a distinguished Clinical Researcher with expertise in Hemostasis, Immunology, Infectious Diseases, Oncology, and Fertility Health. She currently serves as a part-time faculty member in Clinical Research at the Department of Health Sciences, Conestoga College, Ontario, Canada. Dr. Loai A. Siddig, Editorial Board Member

Dr. Loai A. Siddig earned his BSc in Medical Laboratory Science from the University of Medical Sciences and Technology (UMST) in Sudan in 2004. He continued his education by earning an MSc in Biotechnology from the University of Malaysia, Malaysia in 2011. In 2024, Dr. Siddig completed his PhD at UMST in Sudan.

Dr. Loai A. Siddig is a highly accomplished medical technologist and molecular biology researcher with extensive expertise in microbiology and biotechnology. Known for his meticulous and detail-oriented approach, Dr. Siddig has a proven track record in conducting comprehensive research in molecular biology and microbiology. His work has been published in respected journals, including his study titled "Study of Knowledge Attitude, Practices of Primary Care Physicians and the Community Regarding Antibiotics Prescription and Use in Khartoum State (2015)" published in the World Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2016. Additionally, Dr. Ahmed is the author of the book "Survival Companion for Medical Students, Graduates, and Interns," a comprehensive guide for medical students navigating the pathway from internship to specialization. Dr. Deepti Dua is a distinguished Endodontist and Dental Laser specialist with an impressive academic and clinical background. She earned her dental degree from the prestigious Manipal University in India and pursued her Master's in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics at KLE University, known for its advanced Endodontics department. Her dedication to integrating cutting-edge technology with in-depth knowledge led her to achieve an International Master's degree in Laser Dentistry, graduating with top honors from the University of Genoa, Italy.

With years of experience in Endodontic, Esthetic, and Restorative Dentistry, Dr. Dua incorporates dental lasers and magnification into her practice. She previously served as an assistant professor at Ibn Sina National College for Medical Studies in Jeddah, KSA, where her analytical skills contributed significantly to the Quality Accreditation team.

Dr. Dua's meticulous approach and up-to-date expertise have earned her a place as a reviewer for the esteemed journal Lasers in Medical Science, published by Springer. She has reviewed over 50 papers on topics such as laser use in Endodontics, low-level therapies, and adhesive Dentistry. Her scholarly contributions extend to publishing numerous national and international papers, including a chapter in the book Lasers in Dentistry - Current Concepts, 2nd Edition, and co-authoring the book Composite Bonding to Bleached Enamel.

Her areas of expertise include neuromuscular physiology, central nervous system structure, sensorimotor control of movement, audiovestibular medicine, electrophysiology, stem cell biology, and tissue engineering. Dr. Salisu Muhammed Ladan, Reviewer

Dr. Salisu Muhammed Ladan is a dedicated medical professional and public health researcher from Kano State, Nigeria. With a foundation in clinical practice and research, he earned his MBBS from Bayero University Kano in 2017 and later completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Anesthesia from the West African College of Surgeons. His growing interest in public health led him to pursue a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Epidemiology from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Dr. Ladan has built a diverse career, including a four-year tenure as a Medical Officer in Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the National Orthopedic Hospital, Dala, Kano, where he was recognized for his exemplary performance.

Currently, Dr. Ladan serves as a Research Fellow at the African Population and Health Research Centre (APHRC) in Nairobi, Kenya, focusing on epidemiology, healthcare financing, and public health policy. He is actively involved in research and has co-authored a paper on malaria prevention, which is under review. Committed to continuous learning and community service, Dr. Ladan is also a regular blood donor and a volunteer Medical Officer with various organizations. He is a member of several professional associations, including the Nigeria Medical Association and the Nigeria Society of Anesthetist. Dr. Aybike Dip, Reviewer

Dr. Aybike Dip is a distinguished forensic scientist and toxicologist with a career spanning over two decades. She worked as a Forensic Chemist and Toxicologist at the Council of Forensic Medicine, Ministry of Justice, in Turkey for 15 years. During this period, Dr. Dip specialized in the analysis of abused drugs, medicinal drugs, volatile substances, toxicants, and poisons, employing advanced techniques such as QTOF, LC-MS/MS, and GC-MS. Dr. Dip also developed and validated many analytical methods and protocols, contributing significantly to forensic toxicology.

Dr. Dip's academic journey began with a BSc in Chemistry from Middle East Technical University (METU), followed by MSc and PhD degrees in Forensic Chemistry and Forensic Toxicology from Ankara University, where she worked for 10 years as a forensic toxicologist.

Dr. Dip held notable research and teaching positions as a Research Scholar at Texas Southern University and a Visiting Scientist at the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences in the USA during her first post-doc with Prof. Dr. Ashraf Mozayani. These roles involved leading method development studies, mentoring students, and researching synthetic cannabinoids. Dr. Dip further pursued second postdoctoral research at Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea with Prof. Dr. Heesun Chung. Dr. Dip focused on the analysis of synthetic drugs using dried blood spot samples, enhancing methods for substance detection and quantification during her second post-doc.

In addition to an extensive career in forensic sciences, Dr. Dip has participated in numerous international scientific projects and contributed to professional associations such as TIAFT and SOFOCT.
