Archiving & Repository Policy

The International Journal of Comprehensive Health, Medicine, & Dentistry (IJCHMD) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and dissemination of its published content. Our policy outlines the measures taken to safeguard the scholarly record and guarantee that articles remain permanently available to researchers, clinicians, and healthcare professionals worldwide.

Digital Archiving

To ensure permanence and reliability, IJCHMD employs multiple archiving strategies:

  • Publisher’s Platform: All published articles are stored on secure servers maintained by the publisher, with routine backups to prevent data loss or corruption.

  • PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN): As an OJS-based journal, IJCHMD participates in the PKP PN, which provides decentralized, distributed digital preservation to ensure long-term accessibility of content, even in the event of journal discontinuation.

  • Institutional Repositories: Authors are encouraged to deposit the final published version (PDF) of their articles in institutional or subject repositories, supporting broader access, visibility, and preservation.

Repository Policy

In line with our commitment to open access and knowledge dissemination, authors are permitted and encouraged to deposit any version of their manuscript — including the submitted version (preprint), the accepted version (postprint), and the final published version (PDF) — in institutional repositories, subject repositories, national libraries, or personal websites of their choice. Deposited versions must include proper citation of the original publication in IJCHMD.

Open Access

All articles are made available immediately upon publication under a Creative Commons license, ensuring that content is freely accessible, shareable, and preservable by the global scholarly community.

Print Archiving

In addition to digital preservation, the journal maintains a limited number of printed copies of each issue as part of its permanent archival record.

Long-Term Access

Should the journal cease publication for any reason, all archived content will remain accessible through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), as well as through institutional and third-party repositories.

Policy Updates

This policy is periodically reviewed and updated to align with international best practices in scholarly publishing and preservation. Any changes will be communicated transparently to authors, reviewers, and readers through the journal’s official website.
